Forklift and Tugger Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a careful stand-up and sit-down Forklift Operator and a Tugger Driver in the Shorter, AL area to move packages and material around our facilities. You will be operating a Forklift/Tugger with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that materials and products will always be in the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.
Pay Rate
$16.00 per hr. (1st shift)
$16.50 per hr. (2nd shift)
Schedule and Hours
1st shift (6:00am-6:00pm)
2nd shift (6:00pm-6:00am)
Monday – Saturday (Must be able to work 12-hr shifts)
Forklift Operator/Tugger Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment for the facility.
- Must be able to operate a stand-up or sit-down Forklift operator.
- Must be able to operate a Tugger Operator.
Forklift Operator/Tugger Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience with operating a Forklift and/or a Tugger Operator.
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
- High school diploma
- Must be able to lift to 50lbs. (Lifting Assessment to be given in office)
- Drug screen and background check required.
