Pay Rate
$15.00 to $22.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 6 00 am to 2 30 pm.

Manual Machinist Duties and Responsibilities
- Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.
- Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools such as lathes and milling machines to make or rework metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions
- Using a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Positions materials by using an overhead crane.
- May perform simple cleaning maintenance operations.
- Reports abnormal conditions of equipment to supervision.
- Observes all Safety rules and regulations and keeps the work area clean and orderly
Manual Machinist Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree in Precision Manufacturing and Machining Technology or 2-5 years of job related experience preferred.
- Mechanically inclined and very reliable.
- Willingness and ability to work any shift and overtime when required.
- Must pass pre‐employment physical, safety training, background and drug and alcohol screen. Please be aware that Glenn has a comprehensive drug policy, which includes random testing.
- Must have dependable transportation.
