Job Description

Accounting and Human Resources Specialist
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting and Human Resources Specialist to manage various accounting operations and human resources tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software, such as SAGE, and be comfortable handling both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, as well as HR duties including payroll, employee benefits, and onboarding.

Salary
$49,028.00 - $54,028.00 per year

Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.

Accounting and Human Resources Specialist Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting Duties
• Operate SAGE software to record, store, and analyze financial data, including AP and AR transactions.
• Match purchase orders with invoices and ensure accurate coding and data entry (AP).
• Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and vouchers; prepare and verify bank deposits (AR).
• Prepare and process payroll through ADP, including entering payroll journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and generate month-end financial reports.
• Calculate and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and manage credit card transactions (AR).

Human Resources Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire employment process, including onboarding, orientation, and training.
• Assist with payroll management and administer employee benefits.
• Support all other HR-related tasks, including documentation and employee relations.

Accounting and Human Resources Specialist Qualifications and Requirements 
• Familiarity with ADP, SAP/Sage software.
• Two years of accounting experience (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (1 year preferred).
• Administrative experience (1 year preferred).
• Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Millington, TN 38053 before starting work.
