A&P Aircraft Mechanic
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a A&P Aircraft Mechanic for a company based in Zephyrhills, FL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with an Aero Commander 500B aircraft.
Pay Rate
Based on experience.
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, must be flexible.
A&P Aircraft Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide meticulous maintenance to a 1962 Aero Commander 500B with a Shrike conversion.
- Maintain the aircraft and maintain a clean 100-foot x 75 foot hanger.
- Make sure the aircraft is filled with fuel, hydraulic fluid, oil washed, and waxed.
- Be able to perform all maintenance of the aircraft. Repair and maintain most parts including the engines, landing gear, brakes, and air-conditioning system.
- Experience with avionics is a plus because this aircraft will need an avionics upgrade.
- Closely follow safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
A&P Aircraft Mechanic Qualifications and Requirements
- Aircraft Mechanic experience with A&P and inspection license.
- Current Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Experience with aircraft restoration is a plus and direct experience with the Aero Commander 500 is a huge plus.
- Knowledge of the requirements of the FAA-approved inspection program, and FAA engineering orders/drawings.
- Excellent communication skills
