Assistant Store Manager
An Assistant Manager is Automation Personnel Services has an immediate job opening for an Assistant Manager to join our team. They are responsible for implementing workflow procedures based on direction from the company’s General Manager. Their duties include supervising employees during day-to-day tasks, providing customer support in escalated situations and managing the overall workflow of a workplace. This is a potentially permanent position with a wonderful company where you can build a long term career! Start Date: July 22, 2024 Flexible Schedule Salary: $40,000-$50,000
Requirements: • Typically Assistant Managers have several years of prior experience in the field in which they’re managing. Experience usually begins with an entry-level position within the chosen industry and is followed by a sequence of promotions. Previous supervisory experience is strongly encouraged. An Assistant Manager should have leadership roles on their resume, and they should have practical experience overseeing staff members, giving directions and solving workplace problems. Assistant Managers possess strong, well-rounded knowledge of their chosen industry, and are very comfortable leading others. For example, according to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), most retail companies will promote their Retail Assistant Manager from within. Usually, this individual has acquired sufficient retail experience and holds a bachelor’s degree or some form of post-secondary certificate.
Must have steel toe shoes. All other PPE, including COVID-19 protection face mask, will be provided by the plant manager. • Must have reliable transportation; public transportation does not go to the plant location. • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts if needed. • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate meetings.
- Conduct employee performance reviews.
- Develop good customer relationships.
- Participate in recruitment and dismissal processes.
- Smooth out problems within the workplace.
- Address employee and customer concerns.
- Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement.
- Email and phone correspondence.
- Liaise between managers, customers and employees.
- Provide direction to staff.
- Monitor spending patterns and budget.
- Fill in for General Manager (GM) in times of absence. Make executive decisions, hold meetings and provide accountability.
- Troubleshoot POS system.
- Support ongoing learning and development of team members.
- Help create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment.
