Avionics Technician
Automation Personnel Services is looking for Avionics Technicians for a company based in Zephyrhills, FL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work for a fast-growing manufacturer of aircraft instruments.
Pay Rate
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; must be flexible.
Avionics Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance to a 1962 Aero Commander 500B with a Shrike conversion.
- Test, troubleshoot, repair, and install avionics systems.
- Reassemble aircraft interior, instrument panels, and avionics equipment bays following the successful installation of wiring avionics systems and components.
- Replace defective units, repair wiring and modify aircraft as required.
- Perform all maintenance of the aircraft. Repair and maintain most parts including the engines, landing gear, brakes, and air-conditioning system.
- Maintain shop facility (hanger) in a clean and organized manner.
- Maintain records in compliance with FAA and company requirements
Avionics Technician Qualifications and Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in aircraft electrical and avionics system troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with general aircraft maintenance and repairs.
- Current Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Experience with aircraft restoration. Experience with Aero Commander 500 is preferred.
- Knowledge of the requirements of the FAA-approved inspection program, and FAA engineering orders/drawings.
- Excellent communication skills
