Job Description
Bilingual Shop Metal Worker
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Bilingual Shop Metal Worker for a company based in Channelview, TX. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for working on manual lathes and milling machines, grinding, sandblasting, working in the heat treat department and cleaning up pipe or steel fittings and/or shavings.
Pay Rate:
Starting pay $16.00 Day shift, $16.50 Night Shift

Schedule and Hours:
Day Shift: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday-Friday Some overtime on Saturday
Day Shift: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday-Friday Some overtime on Saturday
Night Shift: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am Monday-Friday Some overtime on Saturday
Bilingual Shop Metal Worker Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work either shift and be flexible in work hours and duties, willing to assist and cross-train in various departments.
- Experience in working with lathes or milling machines.
- Proficient in the use of tape measure, grinders, and hand-held tools.
- Load and unload items from machines.
- Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
- Remove products, machines attachments, or waste material from machines.
- Move products, tools or fixtures between storage and work areas, by hand or using forklifts or cranes.
- Be able to lift 75 lbs., and work in various positions, such as standing, bending, kneeling etc.
- Clean and lubricate equipment.
- Operate the assigned Forklift safely and efficiently.
Bilingual Shop Metal Worker Requirements and Qualifications:
- Basic Metal work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is REQUIRED.
- Heavy Duty Forklift experience.
- Must know how to use a tape measure.
- Pay close attention to details and thoroughly in completing work tasks.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
- Excellent coordination and good physical condition
- Able to work in extreme temperatures.
