Burner Machine Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Burner Machine Operator for a metal supplier based in Alpharetta, GA. This company was founded over 100 years ago and is a well-known leader in the metals field. In this job, you will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as operating and programming burner machines, material handling, packing, and other related duties.
Pay Rate:
Starting at $22.00 per hour, Based on Experience.
Schedule and Hours:
Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Some overtime may be required.
Burner Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess paperwork and job orders, organize jobs by thickness, and prioritize as per supervisor's guidance, considering reworks and special requests.
- Retrieve materials from various locations, using appropriate equipment like chains or magnets for machines. Prepare machinery with dunnage.
- Choose correct torch tips based on material and desired outcome.
- Program CNC computer according to instructions, clean finished parts, and arrange for transportation to slag cleaning machine.
- After cleaning, package parts on skids, noting customer specifications. Wrap, label, and band skids as necessary.
- Assist in keeping the facility clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently.
- Other duties as assigned.
Burner Machine Operator Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years minimum of previous Burner Machine Operator experience.
- Experience with hand tools including tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
- Understand and practice safety policies and procedures.
- Drug screening and background checks are required.
- Lifting assessment is required.
