BUSH HOG OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Bush Hog Operator for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for operating a tractor on various terrains performing mowing and vegetation removal on Right of Ways. You will use you’re your specialized skills to operate and perform general maintenance on equipment including, tractor, bush-hog, chainsaw, and other various tools in a safe and responsible manner. You will be responsible for performing daily inspection of company equipment and gear as assigned and use the equipment, chainsaw and/or pole-saw to cut tree debris, similar debris, logs and brush fallen in (ROW) to a staging area for appropriate removal.

Monday through Friday, 6 00 am to 5 00 pm.

Bush Hog Operator Duties and Responsibilities
• Operate HD Tractor and heavy equipment.
• Follow instruction while maintaining established standards of work performance and conduct, as well as acceptable mental and physical dexterity, for the completion of assigned duties.
• Comply and comprehend Health, Safety and Environmental rules and procedures, ask questions and improves job safety skills and participates in all job site safely briefings.
• Ability to drive a truck, Class A or B is a plus.
• Perform a variety of tasks using hand tools and all tools required on job site, or have the ability to learn to operate them.
• Communicates clearly and appropriately with crew in support of specific project assignment.
• To be on call to fix issues after normal working hours.

Bush Hog Operator Qualifications and Requirements
• Experience with cutting rights-of-ways and easements utilizing tractors with cutters.
• High School Education.
• Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Heavy equipment operator and mechanical experience.
• Identify problems and trouble shoot them.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.
• Walking and standing 4 to 5+ hours a day.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds a day
• Bending/stooping/squatting/climbing multiple times day (with the use of pushing and pulling.
• Experience with cutting rights-of-ways and easements utilizing tractors with cutters.
• High School Education.
