Haas CNC Operator
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Haas CNC Operator for a leading manufacturer of industrial radiography equipment and gamma-sealed source provider, located in St. Rose. Our client is a pioneering company in the industrial radiography sector, dedicated to providing top-notch gamma-sealed source equipment. Pay Rate 
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
 
Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday 
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
 
CNC Operator Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Meet production demands and complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Ability to operate CNC machines & measure completed parts
  • Prepare material surfaces as needed for machining
  • Ability to identify any fault in product or production process or in relation to any material or equipment, then notify management
  • Maintain shop, equipment, tools, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safety
  • Coordinate with department managers and other department co-workers for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, walking, and standing inside of a non-climate-controlled warehouse
  • The candidate must feel comfortable working around or with radioactive material. 
 
CNC Operator Qualifications and Requirements 
  • Haas machine knowledge REQUIRED
  • Adhere to work instructions, policies, and quality standards.
  • Knowledgeable about disaster plans and safety procedures.
  • Project a positive image of SPEC in all interactions.
  • Assist customers and coworkers following established protocols.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Proficient in CNC Programming; familiar with shop math and blueprint reading.
  • Regulatory: Capable of obtaining and maintaining NRC clearance.
  • Training/Certification: Willingness to acquire necessary certifications.
