Concrete Form Setter
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled Concrete Form Setter for a company based in Houston, TX. This role requires
candidates to be available for out-of-town travel for extended periods, working on various construction sites. Concrete Form Setters will be responsible for building heavy industrial large foundation forms up to 6 feet deep.
Pay Rate
$20 to $22 per hour [depending on experience]
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Must be willing to travel out of town.
Job Title Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and set heavy industrial foundation forms up to 6 feet deep according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Interpret and work from construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate formwork.
- Select and prepare appropriate materials, including lumber, plywood, and metal, for constructing formwork.
- Install formwork for foundations, ensuring stability and precision in alignment, elevation, and dimensions.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Inspect formwork for accuracy and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with project specifications and building codes.
- Work closely with other construction team members, including concrete finishers and laborers, to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain and clean all tools and equipment used in form setting to ensure they remain in good working condition.
Job Title Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be willing to travel out-of-town for extended periods.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a concrete form setter in the construction industry, particularly with heavy industrial foundation forms.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong knowledge of form setting techniques and materials.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel out of town for extended periods as required by project locations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
