Customer Service Rep/Medicare Coordinator

Automation Personnel Services, Inc. Is now hiring for a Customer Service Representative/ Medicare Coordinator in the Homewood area. This will be a direct hire position with our client.

Job Description:
Assist with retrieving and sending Medical Records for Blue Advantage medical records requests.
Manages Orders received for overnight Pulse Oximetry (POX) via IDS or RA -depending on the Order.
O2 Re-certifications- Call applicable patients and let them know it is time to see their Doctor for their O2 re-cert. If BCBS, patient will need to see MD and re-qualify via Oximetry testing in the MD Office. Ask patient to communicate the MD appointment date and record. Provide to Office Manager so that records are requested in a timely manner.
All Visit notes, re-qualifications will be forwarded to Billing Coordinator for further processing. Manage Patients who walk in for Oxygen Cylinder exchange.
Determine what they need and take back to warehouse the empty cylinders.
Document the Lot numbers and ask the Intake Coordinator to create a Sales Order for patient signature to reflect the cylinders being provided to the patient.
Perform CPAP/BIPAP pressure changes for patients who walk in with Physician Order.
Ask the Intake Coordinator to create a Sales Order for patient signature to reflect the pressure change performed per MD Order.
Answer Phones and Route call to appropriate person, take messages as needed and route, trouble shoot patient concerns, questions, or problems when possible. If unable to manage a patient concern, forward to the Office Manager.
And other duties assigned.

Shift: 1st- 8am to 5pm Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $14 - $16 per hour. Depending on experience.

Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); College experience helpful.
1 year experience in patient reception/insurance verification required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
An individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Accounting software and Brightree Programs
