Diesel Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to maintain and repair a fleet of concrete transport and pumping trucks. This role focuses exclusively on ensuring the trucks and equipment are in optimal working condition, playing a critical part in supporting construction operations.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Temp to Hire
Pay Rate:
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and concrete pumping equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in fleet vehicles.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent downtime.
- Replace or repair defective components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and pumps.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with operators to understand equipment concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines.
- Manage tools and equipment inventory necessary for repairs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic specializing in heavy-duty trucks and hydraulic systems.
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
- Familiarity with tools and techniques specific to heavy equipment repair.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Physical capability to handle heavy parts and tools in a workshop setting.
- Prior Hemmings engine experience
- High school diploma or GED; technical certifications are a plus.
