Electrical Quality Assurance 
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Electrical Quality Assurance Associate for a company based in Bessemer, ALThe ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for overseeing the quality of electrical work, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and providing technical guidance and support to the team

Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Electrical Quality Assurance AssociateDuties and Responsibilities

  • Follow guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Schedule and coordinate the team to keep up with production needs.
  • Plan installation and wiring of cable trays and equipment, such as generators, switches, panelboards, HVACs, and load centers according to wiring diagrams.
  • Communicate with production managers to meet customer needs and deadlines.
  • Ensure the quality of the team's work by checking on the steps of production.
  • Perform occasional hands-on electrical work (troubleshooting and repairing issues).
  • Handle administrative duties, including verifying time and production notes of the team.
  • Oversee electricians to ensure quality while maintaining the schedule.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team for installations.
  • Ensure safety standards and compliance codes are followed.
  • Communicate with other departments regarding the status of buildings and shipping.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and written and verbal instructions.
  • Communicate with managers and engineers about any issues.
  • Assist in preventative maintenance of the plant and office facility (could include LO/TO).
  • Train and instruct new electricians and maintain continued training of current electricians.
  • Perform other duties as needed, including electrical and administrative tasks.
  • Follow guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Occasional additional hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
  • Perform additional tasks as instructed by the supervisor, including clean-up and housekeeping tasks.
Electrical Quality Assurance AssociateQualifications and Requirements 

  • High school diploma.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to effectively interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in installing wiring, fixtures, and other electrical components.
  • Following regulations for building codes based on NEC guidelines.
  • Performing electrical work duties safely (as described in NFPA-70 E guidelines).
  • Minimum of 10 years of electrical experience.
  • Minimum of two years of formal technical training in principles of electricity and electrical design.
  • Working knowledge of construction math, blueprint and technical drawing interpretation, and hand/power tool use – including the use of a conduit bender.
  • Knowledge of panels, UPS, and control.
  • Previous experience in the field of electrical installation on job sites preferred.
  • Ability to perform job-specific physical requirements under specified working conditions, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, working on knees, and lifting 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to perform all assigned tasks.
  • Self-sufficient and self-motivated.
  • Reliable and timely transportation.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, including weekends.
  • Ability to stay until tasks are finished properly – flexible end of day (jobs may require staying past the end of the shift).
