Electrical Supervisor
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Electrical Supervisor for a company based in Bessemer, AL. In this role, you will be responsible for training and mentoring staff, creating work schedules, providing technical assistance, and troubleshooting system issues. You may also be required to maintain and repair the electrical equipment used on-site. You should exhibit strong leadership skills and have sound knowledge of industrial and commercial electrical systems to ensure that all electrical work done on-site is completed on time and to code.

Monday through Friday, 7:00am-4:30pm with required Overtime

Electrical Supervisor- Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate the team to keep up with production needs.
- Plan installation and wiring of cable trays and equipment, such as generators, switches, panelboards, HVACs, and load centers according to wiring diagrams.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, written and verbal instructions.
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify problems and ensure effective installation and maintenance while ensuring all electrical work complies with safety standards and regulations.
- Assist in preventative maintenance of the plant and office facilities.
- Perform administrative duties, including verifying time, production notes, etc.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting system issues.
- Train and mentor staff.
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment used on-site.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed on time and to code.
- Perform additional tasks as needed, including housekeeping duties.
Electrical Supervisor- Qualifications and Requirements
Journeyman or Master Electrician preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of electrical experience.
Minimum of 2 years of formal technical training in principles of electricity and electrical design.
Working knowledge of construction math, blueprint and technical drawing interpretation, and power/hand tool use, including the use of a conduit bender.
Knowledge of panels, UPS, and control.
Previous experience in the field of electrical installation on job sites preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
Ability to perform job-specific physical requirements under specified working conditions, including willingness to work on knees, willingness to work outside when necessary, and lifting 50 lbs.
Willingness to perform all assigned tasks, and tasks outside of this job description as needed, including housekeeping duties.
Self-sufficient and self-motivated.
Reliable and timely transportation.
Job requires PPE, including steel-toed or EH composite-toed shoes/boots.
Willingness to work overtime as needed, including weekends, and stay until tasks are completed.
