Automation Personnel Services is seeking a reliable and skilled Field Technician to join a company in the Bessemer, AL area. The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for handling the on-site setup of buildings on client jobsites, and must have a strong working knowledge of welding, electrical systems, finishing construction, and advanced troubleshooting.

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, some weekend work required.

Field Technician-Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete the final setup of buildings on customer jobsites.
- Re-install HVAC and awning systems.
- Weld multi-wide buildings and connect electrical systems.
- Perform various tasks such as laying flooring, tiling, finishing interior walls, and paint touch-ups.
- Clean up after the building is installed and perform additional tasks as instructed by the supervisor, including housekeeping and clean-up.
Field Technician-Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Good driving record and ability to drive company-owned or rented vehicles.
- Minimum of 2 years’ welding experience (MIG and stick).
- Minimum of 2 years blueprint and electrical experience.
- Willingness to travel out of town (state) and be gone overnight (longer if necessary).
- Self-sufficient and self-motivated.
- Ability to perform job-specific physical requirements under specified working conditions, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, working on knees, and lifting 50 lbs.
- Willingness to perform all assigned tasks.
- Reliable and timely transportation.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed, including weekends.
