First Shift Forklift Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Forklift Operator for a company based in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Pallet Yard Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient management of pallet handling within the yard. Your duties will include stacking, moving, and preparing pallets for transport via truck.
Pay Rate
$16.32 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities
Pallet Handling and Transport Preparation: Safely operate a forklift to stack, move, and organize pallets; load and unload pallets from trucks, ensuring secure and stable stacking; prepare pallets for transport by properly arranging and securing them on trucks.
Yard Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized pallet yard; perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment, reporting any malfunctions.
Inventory Management: Track pallet inventory and maintain accurate records of pallet movements; assist in inventory counts and audits as required.
Forklift Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks; good physical condition and strength.
- Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to forklift operation and pallet handling.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail for accurate pallet stacking, inventory tracking, and documentation.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team; strong commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
