Handwork Utility Worker
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a reliable and experienced Handwork Utility Worker in the Tallassee, AL area for a rapidly growing Manufacturer of corrugated boxes. The utility worker position is an entry level position to learn the processes of manufacturing and the different machines used in the process to make corrugated boxes. This individual is responsible for assembling different boxes, partitions and corrugated pallets.
Pay Rate
$13.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm.
Handwork Utility Worker Duties and Responsibilities
• Assemble partitions.
• Use cold adhesive during assembly of different items such as corrugated pallets.
• Use manual strapper to strap units for shipment.
• Use staple gun to “stitch” boxes and partitions.
• Assist in performing a variety of tasks throughout the plant.
• Ability to become certified on the chop saw to cut cores.
• Ability to become certified on the bandsaw and operate safely.
Handwork Utility Worker Qualifications and Requirements
• Experience in general labor, construction, or other related fields.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Must be willing to maintain a strict adherence to all plant safety rules
• Strong work ethic
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Must be able to lift 25lbs. (Lifting Assessment to be given in office)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proper unexpired documents required to complete the Federal I-9 process.
• Background and Drug Testing is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
