IBM Maintenance Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure proper operation and performance of machinery/equipment.
• Identify and disable power sources for machinery/equipment.
• Follow Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Complete training and certifications for forklifts, aerial lifts, and safety protocols.
• Maintain and repair various machinery and equipment.
• Ensure safety interlocks are functional and report hazards.
• Respond to alarms and warning lights.
• Use hand tools and machine tools safely.
• Perform welding and cutting tasks.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, and other maintenance personnel.
• Recognize and avoid electrical hazards.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper disposal of chemicals.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety policies.
• Complete paperwork and reports.
• Identify confined spaces and follow entry procedures.

• Mechanical: Understand and repair machinery/equipment, use precision measuring tools.
• Mathematical: Basic arithmetic, decimals, fractions, and recording numbers.
• Physical: Stand, walk, climb, lift, and perform repetitive movements.
