Industrial Wastewater Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a dedicated and reliable Industrial Wastewater Operator in the Montgomery, Alabama area to work in the Paint department. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe monitoring and treating of wastewater from process operation before discharging to city plant while maintaining compliance with all wastewater treatment rules and regulations. Will conduct tests, add, and adjust chemicals as needed based on results and clean tanks as needed. Must have schedule flexibility and 7-day availability. Night shift position (7pm-7am).
Pay Rate
$17.00 - $20.00 per Hour (DOE)

Industrial Wastewater Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep proper records.
- Gather and submit water tests as required.
- Maintain daily report of data.
- Make appropriate changes as required or recommended.
- Conduct self-inspections and audits of facility documenting results.
- Coordinate and participate in the maintenance of plant equipment.
- Ensure plant equipment is functioning as designed.
- Manual cleanup of sludge in tanks and when/if spills occur.
- Support the loading of sludge trucks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Industrial Wastewater Qualifications and Requirements
- Flexibility to work 12-hr shifts.
- Must be computer literate and able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to lift 50lb throughout shift. (Lifting assessment given in the office)
- Must have an excellent attendance and punctuality record.
- Must be independent and show initiative and pride in work.
- Experience as a wastewater technician or other related field.
- General Plant knowledge and/or experience with industrial systems and workflow.
- Ability to use basic shop and hand tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proper unexpired documents required to complete the Federal I-9 process.
- Background and Drug Testing is required.
- Must be 18 years or older.
