Intermodal Dispatcher
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Intermodal Dispatcher for a company based in Ladson, SC. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers from the moment they place an order to the successful completion of deliveries. You will work closely with the terminal team to ensure efficient and effective coordination of logistics, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Pay Rate
$24.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.
Intermodal Dispatcher Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate and schedule loads ensuring timely pick-ups and deliveries as well as optimizing routes and prioritizing loads for efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Communicate daily with drivers to confirm schedules, provide instructions, and address any issues that may arise during pick-ups and deliveries
• Prioritize loads to provide the most efficient and cost-effective solutions for customers and logistics needs
• Track shipments and provide updates to customers as required
• Maintain constant communication with Customer Service Representatives to address customer issues and ensure a seamless customer experience • Resolve issues related to pick-ups, deliveries, and other logistical challenges promptly and effectively
Intermodal Dispatcher Qualifications and Requirements
• Prior experience in intermodal dispatch is required
• Strong decision-making and prioritization skills in a logistics or transport environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with internal employees, drivers, and external customer • Proficient in Logistics software and systems
