Inventory Clerk
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Inventory Clerk for a company based in Baytown, TX. The Shipping/Receiving Lead will be responsible for the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting, with a strong background in leading teams and ensuring safety and efficiency.
Pay Rate
$18.00 DOE
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7:30 to 4:00pm.
Inventory Clerk Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct Cycle Count inventory processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution
- Check bulk orders for accuracy and quality prior to shipment
- Receive all inbound shipments into Oracle
- Inspect returned customer shipments for accuracy and damage, reporting findings
- Prepare inventory reports for manager
- Work with manager to reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Assist in implementing solutions for storage space management
- Report any stock issues to management and place product orders as necessary
- Review and apply inventory activities, including movements and deletions
- Maintain and update inventory records
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed
- Help maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Perform all other duties as required
Inventory Clerk Qualifications and Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in inventory control
- Previous forklift experience required
- Standing, Bending & Lifting
- Lifting requirement up to 50 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office suite and excel
- Basic math skills
- Previous experience in warehousing preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Hardworking, action-oriented, and results driven
- Demonstrates a “roll up your sleeves” initiative to get the job done
- Willingness to cooperate and accept added responsibilities
- Ability to work well with all co-workers and manager
