JD MACHINE OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a JD Machine Operator for a company based in Calera, AL. In this position you will be responsible for the operation of a form fill machine in the packaging of filled products as part of the food industry.
Pay Rate
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience
Schedule and Hours
Start time varies between 6:00AM and 7:00AM depending on machine, normal hours would be 8-hours a day but, some mandatory overtime is required including some Saturdays.
JD Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities
•May start out working in other production roles
•Setting up machine for production by calibrating, cleaning, and configuring it to start a production cycle, may also include loading the machine.
•Monitor, adjust, and document machine settings (such as speed) during operation to ensure smooth performance. Understand each setting on the machine, and how each setting affects other controls. Needs to realize what a 360 cycle is.
•Inspect product bags to ensure quality.
•Regularly testing machine operations and promptly addressing any issues that arise during shifts. Know when to adjust while running and when it needs to be stopped for adjustments.
•Immediately log any equipment failures, malfunctions, or maintenance needs in redzone.
•Able to perform PM’s on machines; Teflon tape, change belts, basic lubrication
•Disassembly of machine for sanitation procedures.
JD Machine Operator Qualifications and Requirements
•Medium to heavy strength range-50lbs
•Climbing ladders are required for set up. Some machines include platforms that must be climbed.
•Strong math and reading skills.
•Understanding of production procedures.
•Must be willing to train on diverse machines and tools for the tasks.
•High school Diploma/GED required, technical background a plus
