DISPATCHER
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented individual for a Dispatcher position in Houston, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for managing dispatch operations, assisting in both office and warehouse environments, and ensuring a positive experience for customers and drivers. You will also be responsible for receiving incoming calls and submitting daily status reports.
Pay Rate:
Starting pay: $16-$18 (negotiable depending on experience)
Schedule and Hours:
8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday
Dispatcher Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all driver loads are covered and on time.
- Request and process all paperwork in preparation for billing.
- Demonstrate proficient computer skills in Microsoft Applications.
- Schedule, monitor, and confirm all deliveries.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
- Perform accurate data entry and resolve any issues that arise.
- Utilize a computer management system to manage dispatch operations.
- Receive incoming calls, monitor, and document deliveries.
- Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain customer satisfaction.
Dispatcher Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in scheduling and dispatching.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent coordination skills and good physical condition.
