Machine Operator
The machine operator must be able to set up and operate heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, pinching, forming, blocking, and processing operations. They must have thorough knowledge of production techniques and have the ability to produce quality-building parts.
Pay Rate
$16.25 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 4:30PM – 5:00AM.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ability to set-up and operate machinery and equipment to cut, pinch, form, press, or paint quality finished or semifinished products.
• Ability to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment such as controlling and adjusting machine settings (e.g. speed)
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
• Test operation of machines periodically
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
• Mark part number, order number, number of pieces on parts and attach identification tags as required for customer to have the ability to locate correct parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned and required
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
• Use of overhead crane experience a plus
• Understanding of production procedures
• Required to use power hand tools
