MACHINE OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Machine Operator for a fabrication shop in Kodak, TN. In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a key part in putting together finished and semi-finished goods, assembling the pieces of components of a product and then joining the components into a whole product for a growing pipe manufacturer.
Pay Rate
$15.00 per hour plus a $.50 increase at successful 90-day probationary period.
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates machine tools associated with fabricating, then sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
- Operates flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses, to bend, cut form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal components.
- Performs minor machine maintenance, such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
- Measures work piece dimensions, using rule, template, or other measuring instruments to determine accuracy of machine operation.
Machine Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- Read and use a tape measure. (in office assessment will be conducted)
- Excellent reading, math and problem-solving skills required.
- use power or hand tools to cut, shim, and make other modifications.
- Lift up to 50lbs (in office assessment will be conducted)
