MACHINE OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an ambitious and hard-working Machine Operator to join a dynamic team in Olive Branch, MS. For this role, we are interested in highly motivated and competent individuals to work with heavy machinery in a diverse and cooperative environment.
Pay Rate
Pay is dependent on experience.
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.
Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities
• Set up and adjust the machine according to procedures, ensuring quality throughout the run.
• Monitor machine parameters (flow, speed, temperature, pressure) and complete required quality checks.
• Follow safety protocols, including Lock out/Tag out, and report significant mechanical failures.
• Enter production data into the system and handle product counting and stacking.
• Perform housekeeping tasks like cleaning ink systems, sweeping, and disposing of scrap.
• Work overtime/weekends as required and collaborate effectively with co-workers.
Machine Operator Qualifications and Requirements
• Ability to read a tape measure up to 1/16" and perform basic math.
• Must be punctual, able to work in hot/cold conditions, and flexible with overtime.
• Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a positive attitude and determination.
• Preferred: High School Diploma/GED and experience with corrugated converting, especially Rotary Die Cut or Folder Gluer.
