Maintenance Supervisor
 
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a company based in Baytown, TX. The Maintenance Tech will be responsible for maintaining the warehouse package equipment and conveying equipment, including palletizers, FFS bag packaging equipment, stretch wrappers and stretch hooding equipment. Other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate 
$35.00-$50.00 DOE 

Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday, 7:00 to 4:30pm. 

Maintenance Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain warehouse including dock doors, painting, welding, plumbing and small concrete jobs.
  • Complete emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report any unusual situations to the supervisor.
  • Understand the operation of the FF&S packaging line.
  • Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment as required by manufacturer.
  • Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand tools and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. 
  • Fix potential safety hazards to avoid incidents.
  • Rebuild any machinery that can be rebuilt for the packaging line.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize assigned responsibilities, investigate and resolve problems.
  • Manage several projects simultaneously.

Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 10+ years mechanical maintenance experience with packaging equipment required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced troubleshooting and maintenance skills required.
  • Basic understanding of Electrical Milliamp power distribution required.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret documents and equipment repair manuals.
  • Must have own hand tools.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally with other individuals and lead teams
  • Required to lift and/or move materials weighing up to 60 lbs. (Lifting assessment completed in office)
