Maintenance Technician
Automation Personnel We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing company in Ball Ground, GA, specializing in marine wall structures. You will perform preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment, hydraulic systems, and basic PLC components. Pay Rate
Starting at $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
Training will be on 1st shift for 6 to 8 weeks, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Occasional overtime during the week and up to 5 hours Saturdays may be required.
Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform all maintenance-related functions and welding on plant operational and manufacturing equipment.
• Lead by example and enforce all safety rules, working in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in all assigned areas.
• Perform both scheduled and unscheduled repairs, inspections, and improvements.
• Manage time and work orders using the maintenance system.
• Ensure maintenance documentation and tracking are completed on time and correctly.
• Maintain communication for shift-to-shift continuity.
• Perform PM’s, capital projects, and repair projects based on production priority.
• Inventory and request necessary supplies.
• Additional job duties as assigned by management
Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and electrical troubleshooting (3-phase, 240v, 277v, 480v).
• Able to read and perform work from electrical blueprints and experience in PLC component troubleshooting.
• Experience with forklift operation, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Welding (MIG, TIG, Aluminum) from blueprints experience highly preferred
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in administrative tasks and computer functions.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Drug screening, background check, and lifting assessments are required
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted, in office lifting assessment is required.
