MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Maintenance Technician for a company based in Bessemer, Alabama, who is a leader in the co-packing and ingredient distribution industry. In this role, you will perform ongoing facility maintenance and completion of repairs on equipment to be an important part of the team that promises excellence in every project they undertake.
Pay Rate
$24.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience.

Monday through Friday
Maintenance Technician- Duties and Responsibilities
•Responsible for all production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds.
•Preform basic equipment diagnosis for both electrical and mechanical issues.
•Responsible for maintaining the plant’s overall preventive maintenance programs.
•Keep records of equipment failures and plant work orders.
•Responsible for identifying what parts of the plant’s facilities need additional work and necessary improvements.
•Work with plant staff and ensure that the plant is safe and operates at peak conditions.
•Ensure that all equipment is operating properly and is following Global Food Safety standards.
•Troubleshoot PLC systems and other control systems and install wiring systems for power and control.
•Install and repair ac/dc motors, starters, relays, and drives.
•Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed under GFSI guidelines.
•Attending scheduled corporate training and meetings.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements
•Drug screen and background check.
•On the job proven experience as Maintenance technician
•Plumbing experience required in addition to working knowledge of troubleshooting PLC systems and other control systems and installing wiring systems for power and control.
•Welding and machining experience
•Working experience with ac/dc motors, starters, relays and drives.
