Job Description
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Maintenance Technician for a company based in Columbus, MS. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment.
Pay Rate
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Observe mechanical equipment in operation to locate performance issues.
• Observe mechanical equipment in operation to locate performance issues.
• Dismantle equipment to gain access to and replace or repair defective parts.
• Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements when fitting new parts.
• Repair and replace defective hydraulic valves, mechanical equipment, electrical components and other equipment as required.
• Install specific functional and structural parts in machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance at regular intervals on mechanical parts and large equipment.
• Follow all policies and procedures as outlines in the Employee Handbook and various other sources as they relate to the job function.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One to three years of related experience.
• Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Knowledge or SMAW and MIG welding.
