Mechanics Helper
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Mechanics Helper. As a Mechanics Helper, you will play a crucial role in assisting our mechanics in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles and equipment. Your technical skills and attention to detail will contribute to our team's overall success and ensure the smooth operation of our automotive repair facility. This is a potentially permanent position with a wonderful company where you can build a long term career! Start Date: May 22, 2024 Shift: 1st shift. Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.
Requirements: • Must have steel toe shoes. All other PPE, including COVID-19 protection face mask, will be provided by the plant manager. • Must have reliable transportation; public transportation does not go to the plant location. • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts if needed. • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Pay Rate
$19.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist mechanics in conducting thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical issues and determine the required repairs.
Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, replacing filters, and lubricating components, under the guidance and supervision of mechanics.
Assist with the repair and replacement of faulty parts, including brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and engines.
Help in disassembling and reassembling vehicle components, ensuring proper handling and storage of parts.
Clean and organize work areas, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Support mechanics in conducting road tests to evaluate the performance of repaired vehicles and ensure their proper functioning.
Assist in ordering, receiving, and organizing inventory of parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize accidents or injuries in the workplace.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on vehicles and equipment.
Continuously update knowledge and skills related to new automotive technologies and repair techniques.
