Mechanic Laborer & Greasing Specialist
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Mechanic Laborer & Greasing Specialist looking for a long-term full-time career opportunity. We are seeking an experienced mechanical laborer with expertise in equipment greasing and lubrication. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience maintaining industrial equipment.
Pay Range:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:30 pm
Mechanic Laborer & Greasing Specialist Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform systematic equipment lubrication following established maintenance schedules, including greasing bearings, gearboxes, and moving components while documenting all service points completed during each shift.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections to identify wear patterns, leaks, or potential failures, reporting findings through proper channels and assisting with basic repairs under mechanic supervision.
- Maintain accurate lubrication records including grease types used, service dates, and equipment conditions while ensuring proper inventory of greases, oils, and lubricants for different machinery applications.
- Support mechanical staff during equipment repairs, teardowns, and rebuilds by cleaning parts, organizing tools, and helping with heavy lifting while learning proper maintenance techniques.
- Follow all safety protocols when working around moving machinery, including proper lockout/tagout procedures, wearing required PPE, and maintaining clean work areas to prevent slip and fall hazards.
Mechanic Laborer & Greasing Specialist Qualifications and Requirements
- Must have minimum 1-year hands-on experience with industrial greasing applications and mechanical maintenance, including documented knowledge of proper lubrication techniques for bearings, chains, gearboxes, and various moving components.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with additional technical certifications in industrial maintenance or lubrication systems strongly preferred; must be able to read and interpret equipment manuals and maintenance documentation.
- Physical capabilities to safely perform job duties include ability to lift up to 50+ pounds
- Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through previous work experience, with basic understanding of preventive maintenance principles and ability to identify early warning signs of equipment wear or failure.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and overtime as required; must be willing to work in various weather conditions and industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, and oils.
Full-time, temporary to permanent.
