Job Summary: Automation Personnel Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Inspector for a local fabrication company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and inspection processes, with the ability to inspect, test, and measure materials and components using a variety of standard inspection equipment.
Schedule: M-F, 7:00am – 3:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, tests, and measurements on materials and components.
- Utilize standard inspection equipment including CMM, surface plate, height gages, calipers, micrometers, thread, and pin gages.
- Conduct thorough sheet metal dimensional inspections.
- Interpret and apply material and hardware type/finish specifications.
- Ensure compliance with established quality standards and procedures.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve quality issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance/Inspection.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools: CMM, surface plate, height gages, calipers, micrometers, thread, and pin gages.
- Specialized experience in sheet metal dimensional inspection (assembly line/non-sheet metal experience is not equivalent).
- Knowledge of material and hardware type/finish specifications.
- Experience working in a small metal fabrication or machining environment.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
