OVERHEAD CRANE OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Overhead Crane Operator for a company based in Jefferson, Georgia. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow with a team of experienced operators in a nationwide metals company You will demonstrate your skills and experience operating overhead cranes to move, lift, and position heavy materials safely and efficiently within our facility. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety.
Pay Rate
$20.00 to $23.00 Based on Experience
All Operators Start at $20.00 per hour for the initial one-month training period
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday 6 00 AM to 3 30 PM or 3 00 pm to 11 30 PM
Overhead Crane Operator Duties and Responsibilities
• Safely operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position loads according to job specifications and work orders.
• Perform daily inspections of cranes, including checking cables, hooks, brakes, and other essential components to ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Interpret and follow load charts, work orders, and verbal instructions to determine load specifications and appropriate crane movements.
• Collaborate with ground crew using hand signals and communication devices to ensure precise and safe load handling.
Overhead Crane Operator Qualifications and Requirements
• Previous experience operating Overhead Crane or similar Heavy Equipment
• Knowledge of safety regulations, load limits, and rigging techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Background working with metals
• A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in machining or a related field is often preferred.
