Overhead Crane Operator 2nd shift
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Overhead Crane Operator for a company based in Tampa, FL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while being a key part of a dynamic team in a fast-growing manufacturer of steel and metal structures.
Pay Rate
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Must be flexible and able to work overtime.
Overhead Crane Operator Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for operating an overhead crane to lift, move, position, and reposition steel material to stock areas.
• Manipulate or depress crane controls, such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate the speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
• Log and report inventory received and location changes according to specified procedure into the inventory computer system and/or by paperwork.
• Work and coordinate with multiple areas of warehouse, and coworkers to complete tasks.
• Closely follow safety regulations and guidelines at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and securing loads properly.
Overhead Crane Operator Qualifications and Requirements
• Valid forklift operator certification or license obtained through a recognized training program.
• Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and overhead cranes, including counterbalance, reach, and pallet jack.
• Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and operating instructions to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy loads safely and efficiently.
• Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination to maneuver equipment in tight spaces and navigate busy warehouse environments.
