PRINT PRESS OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an experienced Print Press Operator for a client based in Olive Branch, MS. In this role, you will work as part of a team in a manufacturing environment focused on increasing productivity, decreasing downtime, and reducing waste. This role involves assisting with various tasks on the plant floor, following safety protocols, maintaining equipment according to 5S standards, and handling machine setup, operation, and cleanup. The position requires prior experience in operating multicolor presses on corrugated sheets and troubleshooting printing issues.
Pay Rate
Pay is dependent on experience.
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
Print Press Operator Duties and Responsibilities
• Work as part of a team to support manufacturing operations and increase overall productivity.
• Assist in all production activities associated with machine operation, including setup, operation, and cleanup.
• Follow all company safety protocols, including lock-out/tag procedures.
• Maintain the shop and equipment according to 5S Standards.
• Stack parts up to 30 pounds for periods up to 12 hours.
• Monitor machine parameters such as speed, temperature, and pressure, and perform required quality checks.
• Assist with troubleshooting print issues and adjust color and registration on presses as needed
• Handle ink-making tasks in the ink kitchen and maintain the doctor blade system.
Print Press Operator Qualifications and Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a multicolor press on corrugated sheets.
• Understanding of Anilox rolls, color control, and familiarity with X-Rite systems (preferred).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, and stoop repetitively, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed.
• Basic knowledge of computers and ability to input production data into the system.
• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of polymer printing plates and double chamber doctor blade systems preferred.
• Experience adjusting color and troubleshooting printing issues preferred.
• Must be able to work in non-air-conditioned environments.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
