Plant Manager
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Plant Manager for a well-respected, major manufacturing company in Hartsville, TN. As the Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing overall plant operations. This position encompasses finance, manufacturing, engineering, materials, quality assurance/control, human resources, environmental, health & safety, and information systems. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, proven leadership abilities, and extensive experience in a highly automated high-volume automotive component manufacturing environment.

Plant Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in manufacturing, with a background as a production team manager, general manager, director of operations, or plant manager.
- Thorough familiarity with automated manufacturing and engineering methods, JIT parts scheduling, kanban systems, TS 16949, ISO14001, and Six Sigma/OPEX philosophies and techniques.
- Experience in a highly automated high-volume automotive component manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in areas such as DOT and BATF related to the handling, storage, shipment, and control of explosive materials.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Plant Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate plant operations, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes.
- Prioritize and ensure the health and safety of manufacturing personnel.
- Meet strategic deployment objectives across all areas of manufacturing operations.
- Ensure operational control by manufacturing managers and supervisors in production, production control, and maintenance.
- Delegate authority to managers and supervisors in relevant operational areas.
- Collaborate with top management and representatives from other departments and facilities to implement, execute, and review manufacturing activities.
- Implement efficient production and assembly operations, driving continuous improvement.
- Successfully launch new programs from pre-production validation through full-rate manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with TS16949, ISO14001, DOT, BATF, EEOC, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as required.
Work Environment/Conditions Physical Demands:
- Exposure to mechanical, electrical, or chemical processes requiring the use of protective eyewear.
- Office/shop environment with occasional weekend, holiday work, and on-call requirements.
- Occasional business-related travel.
