PLANT MANAGER
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Plant Manager for a company based in Marion, AL. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily manufacturing operations and ensure the efficient management of resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, inventory control, training, and leading people, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.

Plant Manager Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage daily manufacturing operations to optimize productivity and efficiency.
• Direct supervision of 10-15 department managers and indirect supervision of 150-200 employees.
• Maintain inventory control for whole goods and parts.
• Work with the Engineering and Research and Development departments in product development.
• Update any changes to Bill of Materials (BOMs) and maintain current UPCs as necessary.
• Oversee all receiving activities.
• Frequent inspections of petroleum materials and paint for safety and ordering purposes.
• Work with the Safety Manager to retrieve and submit required information to the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).

Plant Manager Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Plant Manager or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Safety-minded with experience in compliance and inspections.
• Familiarity with OSHA PPE requirements.
• Must be comfortable using a computer and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Plant Manager or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
