Private School Driver 

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a responsible driver for a private school in Alexandria, VA. In this role, you will primarily ensure the safety and well-being of students during transportation. 

Pay Rate 

$17 per hour 

Schedule and Hours 

Mon-Fri 6:00am to 9:00am & 2:00pm to 4:00pm (Hours may vary) 

School Driver Duties and Responsibilities 

• Operate the vehicle safely, following traffic laws and school policies. 

• Conduct regular checks of the bus or vehicle to ensure it’s in safe working condition (e.g., brakes, lights, tires). 

• Monitor students while they are boarding, riding, and exiting the vehicle to ensure their safety. 

• Know the assigned routes and any alternate routes in case of emergencies or detours. 

• Keep records of any incidents, maintenance needs, or issues. 

• Be prepared to handle emergencies, including accidents. 

• Stay up to date with training on safety protocols, first aid, and any relevant regulations. 

Qualifications 

• Valid Driver’s license 

• Excellent driving record 

• Pass Drug-Screen 

• Experience working with children preferred 

• Knowledge of safety protocols and traffic laws 

• First aid and CPR certification is a plus
