Job Description

Process Technician
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Process Technician for a company based in Sugar Land, Texas. This roll will be primarily responsible for helping to keep production line running. This role will assist the equipment and production engineers on the overall equipment maintenance and operation, including equipment repair, changing equipment program settings, installation, modifying parameter, program qualification, and general programming. This role will help the team meet production and quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner.
The qualified technician will assist the supervisor to supervise operators in the event that the supervisor is absent. The qualified technician will serve as a coach and mentor for the operators in the team. The qualified technician may be assigned to help train new operators.
 
Pay Rate
$22.00 - $25.00 an hour 
 
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm 
 
Process Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Train and work directly with engineering staff.
• Maintain multiple machines within a designated section.
• Perform daily equipment startup checks and calibrations.
• Conduct basic repairs and troubleshooting (hardware, software, process).
• Modify or create machine programs and back up configurations.
• Assist engineers with experiments and data collection.
• Soldering and rework tasks as needed.
• Provide operator backup and training when required.
• Report equipment and process issues to supervisors or managers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the team.

Process Technician Qualifications and Requirements
• Vocational Course Graduate or Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in assembly or equipment operation.
• Preferred: 3 years in a manufacturing setting, with experience in:
Soldering and microscope use, Electro-mechanical and measurement tools, Programming or working with automated systems
• Familiarity with Excel or Access.
• Computer skills and experience with at least one programming language or CAD software.
• Comfortable using microscopes and small tools.
