Processor
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Processor for a company based in New Orleans, LA. In this role you will primarily be responsible for safely operating equipment in the processing area ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.
Pay Rate
$16 to $17 per hour
Schedule and Hours
1st Shift Tuesday – Friday / Hours: 4:30am – 3:00pm
2nd Shift Monday – Thursday / Hours: 2:30pm – 1:00am
Processor Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates processing equipment efficiently according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and food/employee safety requirements and guidelines to meet daily labor and waste goals as planned and driven by management
- Demonstrates the ability to perform start up and shut down sequencing of processing equipment
- Learns and maintains standards for product specifications, blends, recipes, and acceptable quality specifications
- Performs preventative maintenance on Processing equipment including cleaning, lubricating, and visual inspection
- Utilize Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime, perform quality compliance documents and communicate with support functions
- Accurately completes all quality, product batch data, traceability, and production paperwork
- Reports any product deficiencies, food or safety concerns to supervisor
- Performs minor equipment adjustments to ensure equipment is operating optimally
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment and assists with product change overs
Processor Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of machine operator/production experience preferred
- Technical skills include the ability to operate processing equipment, start-up/shut down sequencing, basic preventative maintenance and basic HMI computer skills
- Interpersonal skills include good verbal and written communication, good time management skills and the ability to follow rules and directions
- Leadership skills include a positive attitude, being a team player and self-leadership
