Production Associates
Automation Personnel Services is looking for skilled Production Associates for LG Electronics based in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will be responsible for assembly of products by hand, inspecting the quality of finished part or material handling.
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
Positions Open: Line Assembler, Line Quality Inspector, and Material Handler.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Production Associates Duties and Responsibilities:
• Complete the target production plan through material confirmation and product assembly.
• Check, identify and use materials lists and current parts.
• Assemble product by hand.
• Register production performance and defects using equipment installed on the line.
• Perform daily quality inspections, in-process and received product as required by company inspection and test plan.
• Maintain accurate and precise records, to include inspection and non-conformance reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.
• Perform various inspection of assembled products.
• Assist in the troubleshooting of materials in the manufacturing areas.
• Investigate root cause analysis for quality issues and assist in problem solving.
• Ability to work any shift and/or overtime as required.
• Perform data entry and computations on defined quality forms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
•Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.
•Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
•Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
•Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
•Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
•Locates and packs materials for shipping.
•Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
•Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities.
•Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
•Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
•Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
•Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.
•Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
•Open containers, sort, and catalog materials.
•Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
Production Associates Qualifications and Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Soldering and brazing experience preferred.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with team members at all levels.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Willingness to operate warehouse equipment, including power equipment.
• Quality experience or related field.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite with the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Excel.
