Production Control & Purchasing Clerk
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working and reliable Production Control & Purchasing Clerk for a company based in Selma, AL. You will be responsible for compiling requests for materials, preparing purchase orders, keeping track of purchases and supplies, and handling inquiries about orders. Gather information and records to draw up purchase orders for procurement of materials and services. Other responsibilities include issuing and tracking work orders, ensuring that required material is supplied to the production floor, as according to the production schedule. Other responsibilities include expediting and prioritizing work orders and coordinating and managing daily production schedule meetings.
Pay Rate
$14.00-$16.00 per hour (Pay is based on work experience)
Schedule and Hours
1st Shift: 6:00am – 4:30pm
Production Control & Purchasing Clerk Duties and Responsibilities
Microsoft Excel and Word documentation creation, editing, etc.
- Data Entry ·
- Break down orders for the floor (ship tickets, pick tickets)
- Key orders in optimizing software / Auto Cad.
- Process Runs for the Glass & Poly Cutters
- Prepare documents for daily meetings.
- Update factory Load order as required.
- Document the company schedule of the information provided from the Lami lines, cutting tables, Poly saws daily.
- Interface with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, sales personnel, etc. on material status and production planning requirements.
- Check and audit all sales orders for accuracy.
- Complete shipping information and delivery date input.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Keep work area clean and neat.
- Follow all safety practices and procedures.
Production Control & Purchasing Clerk Qualifications and Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. throughout the entire shift. (Lifting assessment given in the office)
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Proper unexpired government documents required to complete the Federal I-9 process.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
