Purchaser
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Purchaser for a company in East Tampa, FL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while being part of a well-established supplier of high-quality vinyl, fabric, foam, and upholstery supplies.
Pay Rate:
$22.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule and Hours:
7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Purchaser Duties and Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase high-quality materials including vinyl, fabric, foam, and other upholstery supplies.
- Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms for the company.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production schedules and avoid supply shortages.
- Place and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and production teams to coordinate deliveries and manage stock.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to optimize procurement strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions and supplier information.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
- Support budget planning and cost control initiatives.
Purchaser Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in purchasing or supply chain preferred.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management; experience in the upholstery or textile industry is a plus.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate supplier performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
