QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR - WELDING
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Inspector - Welding for a leading manufacturer of industrial radiography equipment and gamma-sealed source provider, located in St. Rose. Pay Rate
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour ($45,670-$49,940 average yearly income)
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, Some Evening and Weekends
7:00AM – 4:00PM
Travel: <10% some field work as needed
Quality Assurance Inspector - Welding Duties and Responsibilities
• Inspect purchased and fabricated metal parts/assemblies using appropriate tools.
• Conduct visual and dye penetrant inspections on weldments.
• Perform radiation surveys during receiving, in-process, and final stages.
• Prepare inspection reports manually and digitally.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Communicate effectively with Regulatory/Co-Quality Manager and other departments.
Quality Assurance Inspector - Welding Qualifications and Requirements
• Proficient in mathematical calculations for tolerance dimensions and understanding engineering drawings and inspection plans.
• Skilled in using height stands, calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, and standard measurement techniques.
• Education requirement: High school diploma or GED.
• Desired experience in manufacturing, inspection methods, and tools.
• Ability to secure and maintain NRC clearance, adhere to drug-free policies, and obtain quality certifications and additional training.
• Physical capability to handle heavy objects, withstand environmental factors, and maintain necessary vision abilities.
