Quality Control Inspector
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Quality Control Inspector for a company based in Houston, Texas (Northwest). In this role, you will primarily be responsible for performing inspections and verifications on materials, components, and products to ensure they meet the specified standards and requirements. The role involves detailed dimensional checks, reviewing technical data, and maintaining accurate records. This position requires a deep understanding of GD&T, various measurement tools, and strong attention to detail.
Pay Rate
$23.00 - $25.00 an hour depending on experience.
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Quality Control Inspector Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform inspections on incoming materials, ensuring they meet procurement order requirements.
• Conduct dimensional checks and visual verifications of parts as outlined by Quality Plans or customer specifications.
• Review and validate documentation such as dimensional reports, material test reports, and certificates of conformity.
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, investigating, documenting, and tracking non-conformance issues.
• Create ballooned drawings and data sheets for quality reporting purposes.
• Ensure all calibrated measuring equipment is properly used and procedures are strictly followed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
• Perform additional duties outside the listed responsibilities as needed.
Quality Control inspector Qualifications and Requirements
• Be available for overtime and weekend work when required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
• Proficient in using quality gages, dial indicators, and digital gauges to perform precise measurements.
• Strong computer skills and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programming experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with ballooning prints and creating data sheets.
• Ability to follow quality processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
