Sales Manager
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an experienced Sales Manager for a North Houston client. The applicant will lead the overall sales of the company’s lined valve products. The applicant will spend 50% of the time on outside sales activities with distributors and customers and the balance at the client’s corporate office.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in valve industry sales and/or application engineering and possess excellent organization and communication skills. The primary job responsibility is outside sales with secondary duties managing marketing and communications.
Pay Rate: Base salary plus commission with potential total compensation of $120k - $150k.
Schedule
Monday through Friday 8:00am 5:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Grow the overall sales revenue and distribution network of client products.
• Engage and develop relationships with customers and distribution partners.
• 50% local, regional, or domestic travel.
• Understand the customers application requirements and identify appropriate flow control solutions (application engineering)
• Handle customer inquiries and requests for quotation.
• Prepare estimates/quotations.
• Identify and develop new sales and market opportunities.
• Provide sales support and training on client products distribution partners.
• Manage and support the resolution of customer issues.
• Maintain client product brochures.
• Maintain client website content.
• Develop content for and execute digital marketing campaigns.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in valve sales and/or application engineering.
• An applicable 4-year degree is desired (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering)
• Knowledge of the industrial valve business and chemical process industries, including marketing, sales, customer applications, and regulatory requirements is highly desired.
• Ability to communicate well with customers, suppliers, and employees.
• Proficiency with office software and Quickbooks.
