Sales Order Processor Lead
Houston, TX 77001 | Temporary
Will assist with the coordination and management of personnel work activities within sales order processing in Distribution. Works collaboratively with other department leaders to ensure efficient production and distribution material flow by planning, assigning, and performing the tasks required. Provides administrative support within assigned department by answering telephones, processing orders, preparing correspondence, and record keeping
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports work activities by coordinating and managing operations and activities within their department
Inspects and reviews all daily data reporting for accuracy and resolves discrepancies as needed
Assists with on-the-floor training and development of department personnel
Assign and allocate orders within database system
Engage in data entry (entering requests and orders)
Assist with shipping and receiving of customer orders
Assist with inventory and tag preparation
Monitor and track status of sales orders
Organize/maintain correspondence, files, and records
Provide updates regarding order status (hot orders and back orders)
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
2+ years previous administrative or clerical experience
Supervisory experience preferred
Excellent verbal/written communication and phone skills
Ability to interact with members of various departments
Proficient with Microsoft office products and related computer applications
Strong typing and data entry skills
Familiarity with operation of general office equipment to include printers, copiers, faxes, scanners, etc.
Proven organizational and time management skills; attention to detail
Ability to effectively convey information and directions to others, both oral and written.
Cooperatively works and interacts with members of various departments
