SET UP TECHNICIAN
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Set Up Technician for a foam manufacturer supporting all aspects of equipment and automotive fibers located in Chattanooga, TN. In this role, you will conduct mold/die change overs when switching from a production run of one part to another part. This is a full-time temporary-to-hire position.
Pay rate
$19.50 per hour plus $.75 shift differential
Schedule and Shift
3rd shift: 10:45 pm – 7:15am Monday-Friday
Set Up Technician Job Description and Responsibilities
- Set-up and cycle machines in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow proper set-up and cycling procedures as per ISO 9001 and QS 9002 work instructions
- Assist with change-over of equipment as necessary to produce different products
- Responsible for making necessary correction and running adjustment for maximum production
- Troubleshooting on presses, making minor repairs as required
- Transport and store molds using forklift
Set Up Technician Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Mechanical ability and working knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatics
- Basic mechanical abilities
- Maintain all tools and toolbox as provided
- An understanding of paperwork required and the ability to complete accurately
- An understanding of the importance of cycle speeds
- Forklift experience a plus
